Joey got his internship offer this evening. He has two weeks to decide. The problem is, the company is in the SF Bay area. They've made him a great offer if he can telework, but if he has to move to their HQ for the summer, rent and inconvenience will eat up much of his salary. So... decisions, decisions.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

My son is currently trying to get a summer internship with numerous companies. It's kind of a big deal, both for the experience and money. To put that in perspective, Joey's roommate - who is also a Computer Science Ph.D. student - had an internship with Facebook last summer. It paid $9,000 per month. For a poor, starving student, that's a heckuva lot of money.

While many of the companies Joey is applying to are well known... some of the biggest in the industry... he has piqued the interest of a startup that I'm not going to name or describe. I wouldn't want to put something on the internet and have it harm his chances. But it's a fresh startup by key people from Intel, AMD, Google many other tech giants. Joey will have his 3rd interview with them on Tuesday. Keep your fingers crossed, okay?
