Photos don’t always come across well on Twitter, but here is a series of photos taken of downtown San Francisco by a woman who describes herself in her Twitter bio as a moderate liberal. As we all know, the leadership of San Francisco is anything but moderate. District Attorney Chesa Boudin a year ago argued against cash bail by citing Kyle Rittenhouse’s bail despite the “strong evidence” of “racial bias committing a double murder.” Just last month, a progressive prosecutor quit, calling Boudin a “sinking ship.” There’s a recall effort underway.
In any case, here’s a tour of San Francisco:
Michelle Tandler ~ This is what downtown San Francisco looks like right now.
Michelle Tandler ~ I have no words right now to convey the shock and disappointment I feel towards our local government.
My hands are trembling I am so angry at our leaders.
This is their doing.
Boarded windows > broken windows.
This is what happens when the criminal justice system doesn't work.
San Francisco has become lawless and residents and businesses are going into self-protection mode.
The stats are fictitious. Nobody reports. People are hunkering down.
We are all over the news.
A shiny example of what a progressive-run city looks like.
I believe our government is more akin to a regime than a body of public servants.
San Franciscans -- this is our doing. It's up to us to reverse the trend.
If you are bothered by the direction of things, get involved.
Read San Fransicko, get on Twitter, engage with your neighbors, talk to local business owners.
This is going to take years to turn around...
First up, recalls.

These are all from today?
Michelle Tandler ~ Yes.
My PT cancelled on me so I went for a short drive.
These were all taken within a 5 block radius at around 10:30am.
pankstrasse ~ This would normally be the time when our family would go to the tree lighting ceremony, have lunch and do window shopping in Union Square, if nothing else just to feel the holiday spirit. Our city officials have destroyed all of that. Get them out and keep them out.
Michelle Tandler ~ Yes - I have many childhood memories of going ice skating there & seeing families holiday shopping.
Union Square used to be packed with shoppers this time of year. Now it's a ghost town.
Incredibly sad and a huge shame for the stores, their employees, and our city.
QQBBStr8 ~ Looks very similar to Portland.
Diablo_Sandwich ~ It doesnt really make much sense continuing to operate retail in San Francisco. The deck is stacked against business owners.
Jerry Colen ~ The City Council approves.
Gabriel Haukness ~ One difference I saw moving from Seattle to San Diego was not a difference in homeless. It is a difference in lawlessness.
Namely, SD cops still enforce laws. Seattle (along w SF and PDX) does not.
George AP ~ This is what they voted for. Let them live with their decision.
