The first day of Dr. Mehmet Oz's campaign for the US Senate in Pennsylvania as a Republican was dominated by talk about his lack of concrete Pennsylvania ties. 

...wasn't there some bimbo from Arkansas elected Senator of New York?

Senator Oz? From what state?

He attended medical school at Penn, but he has been a New Jersey resident for years. He 'registered to vote last December' at an address in Montgomery County, PA, and 'is living there while renting his in-laws' home, according to a campaign aide,' the Philly Inquirer reported. So the carpetbagger issue is going to be a challenge, but he brings 'unrivaled name recognition and wealth to a wide-open race,' as the AP put it. He came out with an op-ed and then visited Sean Hannity's show..."
