none of which really accomplished much for any school they coached at.. winning record but not competing for national titles..

just more also rans... with over rated reputations..

Coach Luke Fickel is an ordinary guy who believes in hard work and dedication. He has changed the mindset and culture here and he brought that with him when he left Columbus as a former player and assistant coach and defensive coordinator.. He knows the dedication and oneness it takes for a group of 11 athletes on the field to function and understand things as ONE person.
And that is what he teaches every day with those kids who are NOT as big, not as athletic as those otehr big name schools, and yet, here they are competing and for the past three years, have an incredible record..

Brian Kelly was a half decent coach whenhe was with Cincinnati. He is not as good or disciplined as coach Fickel but he is a whore.. And he will always be remembered and known for that.. Disloyal and cannot be trusted.. I have no idea why LSU wants him..

Kelly stole Cincinnati's defensive coordinator last season. Coach Fickel got anothe rone and instilled in that person the same values he had in the other one. FIckel was Ohio State's defensive coordinator for years..

So he knows about defense and combined that with discipline and real TEAM play.

Hope Kelly flops miserably and is out of football. The game wil be better off..

...I believe Lane Kiffen is another one in that category along with Bobby Petrino.
