What did anyone expect him to do in his own time? Sit back and watch his brother getting railroaded for something that has not materialized into anything despite the virulent desire for many including Leticia to get rid of him? I understand the issue, but don’t see he had a choice, and he kept it out of his day job. I don’t see him creating a conflict of interest with those who paid his salary.
Finally, he was doing a better job than anyone, if not the only one, with his difficult interviews with all kinds of critters. I still remember that turkey Bryan he interviewed with his lawyer after the Arbery tape surfaced that he himself made following Arbery in his car as he was about to be killed, and his lawyer in effect calling him stupid and unable to talk about what he did. Or the Shaman’s lawyer, whom he interviewed again after the Shaman got his sentence.
