It just sort of figures, doesn’t it? All of a sudden Chris Cuomo finds himself with plenty of free time to work on a book, quarantined in his basement if you will, and now his publisher says it’s not going ahead with it. So far Cuomo’s been terminated from his prime time hosting gig on CNN (after additional information came to light), his SiriusXM radio show is gone, and now his book deal is off.

The New York Times ~ HarperCollins said on Tuesday that it would no longer publish a planned book by Chris Cuomo, who was fired by CNN over the weekend.

The New York Times reports:

The book, which had been scheduled to be released next year, was originally titled “Deep Denial.” It had been described by the publisher as “a provocative analysis of the harsh truths that the pandemic and Trump years have exposed about America — about our strength and our character — and a road map of the work needed to make our ideals match reality.”

“We do not intend to publish the Cuomo book,” a spokeswoman for HarperCollins said on Tuesday.

So it was about Trump ... how original and refreshing.

Ed Morrissey ~ The working title was -- kid you not -- "Deep Denial."
