As we near the time on this planet we pause (some do) to celebrate and observe the Birth of Christ who left the Throne in Heaven to become the propitiation for all our sins, my thoughts are I wonder what this day is lke in God's Heaven? I wonder how Nemo is enjoying his new and perfect body without pain? I wonder if Salvation and Redeption is celebrated and sung about by the believers in Heaven who get to be in the presence of the living God and Savior of the world...
I think as I get older (no one is older than Ribit, not even dirt) the things that are important in Life, that have eternal consequences and standing, become more important and much more on my mind..
Nemo found this out suddenly and quickly.. He was surprised by his diagnosis and condition.. He is like many people and not unique in that regard. Death has a way of surprising people.
The great evangelist and Pastor J. Vernon McGee used to say that many people who are in heaven will smell as if they had been rescued from a FIRE Sale.. He was kidding of course about the smell but the point was made that they were the lucky few who came to Jesus before they died.
I am starting to wind down my schedule and travel to my clients over four states. My body cannot take the pain being caused by the walking , standing, riding in the car. It's too much.
I can only imagine what Nemo was going thru knowing he was actually looking forward to Hospice coming and assisting him with dying in dignity.. He was truly in serious agony.. Yet he remained calm and we talked about heavenly things.. He was ready to go home and see Jesus.
And so I wonder how he likes his new home without pain, without suffering, a perfect body and glorious singing and songs of praise to HIM who Loves us and gave Himself for us.
It's Christmas in Heaven all the time because Jesus is there. It is HE whom we celebrate here on earth only not often enough..
We cannot communicate with those who have gone on before us and are there, but if we could, I would like to say with all my heart, MERRY CHRISTMAS CAPTAIN , I WILL SEE YOU IN DUE TIME.
I miss Nemo.. As well as other loved ones like my parents and sweet Aunt out east who was taken suddenly and unexpectedly.
My Wish is that The Lord would come back and call us home from the clouds soon. See you then Nemo....
