I do have an amazon 4K firestick on the t.v. I watch in the far end of the house where my cave is, as well as my office. miz micro on the other hand has a Roku t.v. but I suppose it could also have a firestick.

I do not subscribe to Amazon Prime. I think its a bit pricey but I also don;t really care much for Bezos either.

I will check it out however. Miz micro HAS to have the things she loves to watch. For example, ninety fiver reruns of Hallmark movies, especially ALL the Christmas ones that started a couple of months ago and have now been seen at least a dozen times, which is exactly why my television is well away from her... lol!!

Re: “…but have a live stream t.v. service now that has as many stations on it as my cable did.”
Don't forget that with a $20 Amazon Fire TV stick plugged into your TV's HDMI port, you can get THOUSANDS of free programs on numerous stations like TUBI, ROKU, CRACKLE, XUMO, PLEX, YOUTUBE, IMDBtv as well as a slough of others that aren't free but are cheap. If you've got Amazon Prime for its cheap delivery fees, you qualify for its free streaming service. I've got this documented on the STREAM board here on Bob's. Now that you've broken away from Cable TV and its hefty bills, you might want to check it out.
