I agree & was watching Joe too.

Unless we get a handle on voting rights & those that will be counting the votes, our democracy is going down the drain.

Look at these asshole in the house, still refusing to admit the attack on 1/6 was because of some of them & Trump.

There are states STILL claiming there was voter fraud that would have changed the results. WTF!

I wish every time one of them brought this up, they would be confronted with Al Gores' margin...

If they aren't willing to admit Joe won, by over 7 million votes, what chance will we have in future elections!

We need to end gerrymanding!

Do something positive.

I am not into essays. Right to the points:

First, all the major items in it are necessary for the masses out there and the economy in terms of allowing people to work, to begin with. Anyone who has or had kids and both parents worked know the meaning of daycare, day are costs, preschool, and afterschool. It is a maddening situation, depriving parents of their own lives during those years. Not a moment of peace. It is worse today and far far more costly. You need another salary to afford both parents working. And that doesn’t take into account the constant searching for solutions. And that’s one thing only. There are more in the bill that would help enormously.

BUT, injecting another almost two trillion in the economy is going to do wonders, perhaps, for more inflation. If you have more money to spend because your costs go down, you’ll spend more, buy more, demand increases, inflating prices.

Jaypal is being disingenuous saying that it will “lower costs for the American people”. At what price for America, bitch? Even if it is fully paid, the effects of the extra money in peoples bank accounts cannot be denied. We already have inflation due to overwhelming demand and lower supply because of covid effects, and that is a global situation.

So, we are in a Catch 22 with it.

Joe Scarborough this morning was talking about waiting three months to see how inflation is going before going for the bill. Instead, he said it is far more important to pass the Lewis voting rights bill so we can preserve our democracy here, because GOP Trumplicans are into a bunch of no good bills across purple states trying to do what Trump couldn’t in 2030: State legislatures reverse voting results and ignore the votes of their people. That’s what at stake.
