...that's a heap of house for the mz to keep clean. What with her yard work, gardening, foraging for food and hunting she won't have much time left for sammich fixing nor beer fetching, not to mention the occaisional back rub.

Whenever I'm asked when the house will be done, I'm always hesitant to answer. Everything depends on other people. There are a lot of reasons for delay including scheduling and supply problems. Many things can't be started until something else is done. My builder therefore won't tell me when the house will be finished. All my wife and I can do is say that we're shooting for 2022. We WERE shooting for Spring, 2022, but I don't think that's going to happen.

A quick list of remaining tasks follows. I'm sure I've missed some important ones - I assembled this list off the top of my head, and not every decision has yet been made - but my builder will undoubtedly remind us of things we've forgotten. He's pretty good.

One positive sign is that many of the jobs listed below (the ones with asterisks) will be subcontracted out and can be done while my builder is doing other things. That should bump the done date forward substantially.
