You're guilty of posting misleading headlines and lies of omission. The truth is that Florida recently set ITS OWN record, not a record versus other states. Florida is far behind the number of new cases reported by New York.

The record being hinted at by that misleading headline, by the way, is Florida's 7-day moving average, which peaked in December but which may already be falling. From your article:

"After record-setting days ahead of Christmas, the cases reported for Saturday and Sunday were markedly lower: 21,077 on Saturday and and 17,955 on Sunday."

The article goes on to say:

"Hospitalizations for COVID-19 have been climbing, but at a significantly lower rate than they did during the summer delta surge, relative to the increase in cases."

For some reason, you didn't mention any of that. In the interest of honesty, here's the bottom line:

New York's 7-day moving average of new cases as of today is 35,495.

Florida's 7-day moving average of new cases as of today is 23,790.

Florida has a significantly higher population than New York. But its people are cleaner so it doesn't have the Covid-19 problem that dirty New York does.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
