Re: “How much SNOW have you seen there already?”
Not much. We had a couple of storms that dropped 4 or 5 inches, but I didn't even break out the snow blower - just shoveled it away by hand. The ground is covered... has been for the last two weeks... but only to a depth of about 2 inches. Grass is beginning to poke through.

At the moment, we're in a heat wave. The temps stayed above freezing last night, and we won't have any more cold until Sunday night. I just let the wood stove burn itself out. In this kind of weather, the stove would jack the house temperature well over 80° and I don't want that.

What little snow we've got on the ground could melt off by Sunday! The long-term forecast doesn't show any more coming until the 9th... but those forecasts are always wrong. Big storms don't usually give more than 3 days advance notice and forecasts change day to day. In fact, it's freezing rain that I find more concerning. I hate it when that stuff gets on the vehicles or makes walking to the mailbox treacherous. I haven't yet forgotten the 2018/19 winter when everything was covered with ice, seemingly for months. I remember falling SIX TIMES while trying to clear a little snow one day. Fortunately, that was an unusual winter. We haven't had anything like it since.

And how is it in your neck of the woods?
