Note that these subpoenas are with respect to the CIVIL case that the state of New York was been pursuing against the Trump Organization. This is NOT part of the criminal case which is underway in the city of New York. However, the two agencies, the AG office and the office of the New Your City prosecutors, have agreed to work together, at least to the extent of sharing evidence and witness statements which they've collected.
