Unvaccinated kids under 5 can’t breathe with covid. They get the Croup.
Any patent who’s experienced that can tell a scary story. Watching your 3 year old unable to breathe while making that awful sound will scare you shitless. Nightmare scenario.It happened to me once so I have a first hand. A paralyzing experience. Three o’clock in the morning, wake up with horrible sounds, looks like imminent death, good thing mothers have that instinct no one else has, shower came on with hot water filling the bathroom with moist clouds of warm air. A few minutes of exposure to that and normal breathing returned. The horrible sound stopped. Mothers do not need to be told what to do. It is amazing.
Anyway. With covid it is even scarier.
I wonder how long it will take for mayor Adams and other politicians to get a reality check from covid infections in kids and stop this nonsense of pushing through this thing no matter what. First, it‘s the kids. Then it is the school staff and teachers out with covid. How do you run a school that way? Kids need to go to school, but dead kids don’t go anywhere, and patents scared shitless watching their kids struggle to breathe will know better.

DeathSantis and his minions do not want masks so kids can breathe. Everyone should breathe. Unfortunately, for kids of young age, that cannot be vaccinated yet, breathing can stop just like that, just from blocked upper airways.
Kids are resilient. They can recover all the missed schooling just like that, with proper attention afterwards. Right now, schools must follow science, mask, distancing, ventilation, testing, etc., and not do DeathSantis stuff. Hope he doesn’t learn that the hard way with his very young kids.
