Re: “Last time I checked, nobody likes to be called a LIAR. Especially if it is a matter of contention and different set of lenses looking at something. That is a difference of opinion or perspective but not someone intentionally lying.”
I agree. "Lying" speaks to a person's intent, and intent is often hard to prove. I think the last time I called someone a liar, it was zzfart. I did so after he made a claim and I was able to show that, previously, he had stated the exact opposite. Therefore he knowingly lied either the first time or the second time. But aside from things like that, I don't call people liars.

Sidebar: By any chance do you remember that hydro called ME a liar? And it was because I chose to ignore something he'd accused me of, believe it or not. Only in his mind does saying nothing make a person a liar.

You and I have both been supervisors. As such, I expect you've had employees who needed to be trained or taught. If you're like me, you've also had employees who resented being trained, taught or corrected. It's more common than I'd have believed. Such employees generally either have to change their attitude or lose their jobs. It always surprises me how often they go with the latter.

I think hydro is that type of person. He's got many controversial beliefs, but he posts about them as if they are facts. Many of his articles came from highly dubious sites or people. A while back, he posted several articles by people who wikipedia denounced as charlatans. One had done time in prison. Another ran a study that a foreign country had declared illegal since it had actually killed people. Another had obtained his PhD 8 months after obtaining his bachelors, both degrees coming from an unaccredited college known for selling diplomas. I won't soon forget the time hydro_gen posted a piece by a doctor with seemingly impeccable credentials and challenged me to find something wrong with him. At first, it seemed like I'd fail since very little about the doctor could be found. But I did find something in his bio where it said he was a Nobel nominee in the field of medicine. Well, that's not possible since the Nobel prize organization does not identify its nominees for fifty years. So it came to seem that everything hydro was posting was garbage.

If I were in hydro's shoes, I'd have been embarrassed at being so sloppy but would have vowed, at least to myself, to do a better job of researching my peculiar beliefs and posts in the future. But hydro doesn't operate that way. He instead became resentful and retaliated by calling me names in many responses and by criticizing me for things that had nothing to do with our conversations. Out of the blue, he's criticized me for the high number of posts I've had on AtomicBobs (I'm not exactly alone in that!), for being the first one to respond to one of his posts, for my supposedly bad stock picking record, for plagiarism, and probably for a half dozen other things I can't think of right now.

So that's what it boils down to. A generic apology doesn't cut it when the problem isn't that hydro did something wrong. The problem is that hydro has got an ongoing and annoying behavioral issue. I'm not holding a grudge. I've just concluded that he's one of many people I know who can't, who shouldn't, be taken seriously. If he changes his conduct, I'll likely come to respect him again. But if he doesn't, then why should I? Why should anyone? "I'm sorry" doesn't change the fact that he's someone who operates the way he does.

I still like my conclusion regarding two people I have greta respect for with their researching abilities that I do not possess and many times have no time for , which is why I am grateful to be able to enjoy and read things that different contributors post for our edification.

Last time I checked, nobody likes to be called a LIAR. Especially if it is a matter of contention and different set of lenses looking at something. That is a difference of opinion or perspective but not someone intentionally lying.

As to content everyone has preferences and that is oerfectly normal. The way to quench a fire is not to throw a gallon of jet fuel onto a smoldering piece of charcoal.

The benefit of gaining joint and additional research articles is letting the readers decide for themselves after actually reading and trying to digest what was written.
Its why I like the things you share. I can go read them and spend time thinking about what was said. Same with other folks like CJ who posts some really good stuff also. Zim has contributed a very long time also.. ALL of you are better than me..

I guess I am left wondering the same question I see on ads . "Why can't we all just get along as we are on the same team? "

To me, its disheartening.
I really do enjoy the research posts about this whole pandemic and and the covid-19 develpments by everyone and especially yourself.

Can't express my thanks enough..
