Re: “Remember Pink Slime? The media demonized companies that used it.”
That ticks me off to this day. "Pink Slime" is nothing more than the gathered trimmings and meat residue that builds up on the saws and grinders as beef is cut, processed to reduce the fat (it's 95% lean), then exposed to ammonia gas to kill bacteria in case it was out longer than desired. Meat processors would add it to hamburger whenever they periodically cleaned their equipment (just as I would if I were butchering my own meat in bulk), increasing the amount of product while also lowering the price of hamburger for their customers. But because of the name "pink slime," media made it sound like something nefarious.

Now there's no pink slime in our hamburger, hamburger prices are up and Joe Biden is talking about greedy meat companies who charge so much.

I have no doubt the real story is that leftists want Americans to curtail their beef consumption and are putting draconian taxes onto meat producers. First, though, they're going to plant this idea in our heads that prices are high and going higher only because the meat companies are so greedy.

I wonder what & how many chemicals are used to get plants to taste like chicken?
Remember Pink Slime? The media demonized companies that used it.
Same with GMO.
But now chemical enhanced ground up plants are A-OK?
