The filibuster is a mid 20th Century invention. The Senate is about majority rule. The Senate existed without it until it was “invented.”

A majority collection of shithole states some with populations less than a NY City suburb is absurd. The electoral college will kill America as we know it. It is an outdated scheme.

Unfunded mandates my ass. What was Trump’s tax law? An unfunded mandate! The result was another $8 trillion of national debt and nothing to show for it in GDP which never went above Obama’s nor even in job creation numbers.

You think you are smart but you are just a partisan blabbermouth with no facts, just lousy opinions.

...the President of the United States is just that. He can govern without a majority of the people but he cannot govern without a majority of the states. Originally it was designed to keep the rural communities which were a majority of the people from governing the cities. Now the situation is reversed.

...on the elimination of the filibuster, If that happens there will be no difference between the house and the Senate so we don't need both of them. The house is supposed to represent the people and the Senate is supposed to represent the states. This was why senators were appointed by the governors of the states at one time. The end result of the change of senatorial contests to popular vote is UNFUNDED MANDATES.
