That's what it sounds like to me as well. Its possible you could have a drainage tube clogged or swollen from some type of infection also.
DO NOT stick an air nozzle from yer compressor into yer ear and try to blow it.
You are right. Time to call the doc's office and likely need an antibiotic and maybe some muciness to help dry up the moisture as well.
