OCU lost consiousness when he was in the bathroom on the day they were trying to discharge him. They must've found him pretty quick since they got to him before he died. They did emergency surgery and kept him another . . . two days, I think. They told him that if it had happened while he was being driven home, they could never have gotten to him in time. It was that close.

You're in touch with him. Ask him to tell the story. He's an attention-seeking blowhard. (Being a dinner guest at his place after one of his road trips must be TORTURE.) I'm sure you could persuade him to talk about himself.
