I had two meetings today . First was with my Primary care doctor for the pre-op physical and she said everything was great except she Doc said I should lose about 25 pounds...
So I guess I will have an aopportunity to work on that seeing as the holidays and the MOUNTAINS of sweet yummy stuff miz micro made before Christmas I have all but consumed and are gone.. I did drop 5 pounds last week I had managed to find between Christmas and New Year's Day. So its a start.. When ya cannot walk or stand for long it is rather difficult to do anything that vaguely resembles exercise... I also know I lose appetite after surgeries so I will likely drop weight afterward...
Doc told me not to worry about care after the surgery because the Hospital MUST find me a place to go should the surgeon say that I need to have care for a few days. Even if that means at a local Re-hab facility or another hospital out here in my county where covid is NOT rampant.
Meeting numnber two was with my surgical PA about post surgery pain management.
I was assured that she would prescribe either a powerful LIQUID pain killer and very strong percocet tablets. She promised she would not leave me in acute pain.
So I feel better about that. If I can control the pain then I am fine.. I am going to do a lot of sleeping.
I want to celebrate my 50th anniversary with miz micro in 2 years so I do not believe I will take him up on all of his great ideas, just Some of them.
I installed the tall 171/2 inch height toilets years ago. Best thing since sliced bread. I like Kohler commodes because theey are simple to install a gasket on if a leak ever develops.. And they have their own section of toilet repair parts at Home Depot and Lowes so it is easy to find..
I am off all my meds today. So no more aerthritis pain stuff and I am not supposed to take all my vitamins and supplements, like my quercetin and zinc and D3 and C .
I am atthe point where I am actually looking forward to this hip joint being repaired and cleaned out because the arthritis in it is really making itself known 24/7 in any position I am in. SO its time.. I put it off as long as I can and my clients al know I will not be able to help them for a few weeks. I gave them a freind of mine's number and he will be on call should someone need immediate help.
Anyway, off to the blood sucker tomorrow morning and then holed up until a week from today . M son in law takes me off to hospital at 5:00 a.m. to arrive at 5:30 a.m.

DID you come home and go to your recliner and stay there or did you try your mattress first? I have an adjustable bed albeit is a Beauty Rest Black Hybrid Orthopedic. Its very comfortable. Just wondering what you found to work best sir!
