Good morning De! I had a horrible night trying to get some sleep. Not really able to find a sleeping position in bed or recliner right now. Of course, I am totally off of anything that can help so its to be expected.
I am holding up fine and am looking forward to to being able to use my right leg again.
That frozen in place hip socket which does not allow the leg to rotate or move is stuck in place from all of the arthritis that has eatenn that socket and filled in with spurs surrounding the Ball inside the socket. Consequently my entire upper thigh is stuck at an angle that does not alow the lower leg to land in plane with the skeletal structure. This creates lots of torque and stress on the SHIN area and ankle joint from landing with force at an awkward angle.
SO, I am looking forward to that being fixed, according to the Orthopedic surgeon, in thehopes I can once again walk normally without being in heavy pain from the foot running up the shin to the knee, and of course not being stabbed in the hip socket anytime I move..
I am at peace with this now. Its a scary surgery with what the procedure actually is but I will be asleep and under.
I have been promised by my surgical team that they will keep me out of pain after surgery and send me home with potent pain killers as well.
Need to just get over the initial hump but afterward should regain my strength and start the physical healing and exercising process.
I have GREAT PA's who sent me a note yesterday assuring me they got me covered and will take great care of me. So I know I am also getting a nerve block shot as well.
I am at peace with it and it is entrely in God's Hands.
Thanks De.
Today I am trying out seats in vehicles to see which is best for transporting me home after surgery. I think I have eliminated the Sedan as I would have to bend down to get into the seat. So I am trying out my daughter's mid sized SUV and my compact SUV. Front seat in mine is out from the high and dense seat side bolsters.
If my daughter's does not have that it may be the best choice to come back home in..
We had about 2 and a half inches of snow last night. Its amazing how quiet it is outdoors after a blanket of snow..
Much ado about nothing again locally.
Anyway, That is what is going on and have been given peace of mind from much prayer from myself as well as many who have lifted me before the throne of grace.
I am grateful for friends like that..
Hope you all do not get pounded by this storm..
Stay safe and let your wife do the hunting.. She can keep fresh meat on the table. You can skin it it, clean it, hang it, and cut it up. lol!!!
Have a great and wonderful day De!
