I'm back from my endocrinology appointment. Hey, if I'm back on the board already - where's micro? I figure he's playing up his procedure as long as possible in order to rack up the sympathy points!!!

This was my first appointment with the doc and it went well. It was mostly conversation but also a a few "watch my fingers" and one "drop your trousers so I can grope your testes" moments. Love those. When you think about it, medicine and priesthood are two fields perfectly suited for perverts. I think I'll keep that theory to myself.

He said my right eye is a little off and asked me if I've ever had double vision. I have, but not in recent decades, and it was due to a cyst in my right eyelid, long since corrected.

We talked more about the problem I've got with persistent thirst. It's not diabetes I or II but, coincidentally, it's probably diabetes insipidus... which is unrelated to the other two or even to blood sugar. I'll have to go back to the hospital shortly for a lengthy test to see if that's really what it is. The test will suck. It involves up to seven hours without drinking anything while they monitor my sodium levels and urine output. That might not sound so bad to you guys, but I have a glass of water in arm's reach nearly all the time. When I don't, bad things happen including migraines. They expect me to go seven hours without water. One hour would be unpleasant. I'm dreading it already.

He asked about any medical conditions I've got other than the heart surgery and the migraines. I told him I've got an enlarged prostate. He then asked me how enlarged. I looked him like he was nuts. "Hey, I'm not the one who checked it!" I said, holding up my index finger so he'd understand. He got the message. "Oh," he said. "Then it hasn't been scanned?" LOL. No, my enlarged prostate was discovered the old fashioned way.

Aside from that, the doc asked at the end whether I'm vaccinated. I told him "no," but let him know that I'm not anti-vaccine but anti-mRNA. I think it damages the immune system. He told me I should get the J&J shot since it's different... more traditional. I told him that it too is mRNA... but mRNA in the guise of a benign virus that programs the body to generate mRNA. He disagreed. I'm not about to get into a pissing contest about a medical matter with a doctor, but when I return... possibly next week... I'll give him the article that explains how J&J works, highlighting the part about mRNA. This is the second doctor I've seen who didn't know that J&J is, though different, still an mRNA jab. What a disservice they and other similarly misinformed doctors have been doing in so misinforming their patients.
