Note that this town, Lewiston, Michigan, is the where that my wife and I grew-up. We were there this past summer for a few days in July, but don't know any of the people mentioned in the article personally. Note that this is also where my 47-year old cousin, who died of COVID in October, grew-up and lived (which makes him one of the 42 who had died, as of the date of this item, in the county):

Note that considering there are only 9,153 people living in the county (per 2020 census), the death of 42 residents due to COVID puts the death rate at nearly 460/100K (the national average was 265/100K as of today). And for the record, Donald Trump won the county with 71.2% of the vote.
