Brian Stelter says CNN was “stunned” by the Jeff Zucker resignation over a relationship with senior CNN executive Allison Gollust, but why were they? According to Megyn Kelly, the relationship was “an open secret in the media world” and “no one would touch it”:

Former CNN host Soledad O’Brien also called the relationship an “open secret”:

Over to you, CNN. Who knew what and when did they know it?
e-beth ~ Soledad left CNN in 2013 and called Zucker’s relationship an “open secret” so people like Brian Stelter and other top CNN anchors who pretend not to know should just shut the hell up. They all knew.

That Radar Online story included this photo showing Don Lemon and Fareed Zakaria at the same concert as Zucker and Gollust:
The reporter who broke that story told Megyn Kelly, “this is just the beginning ” and it “is going to be a huge mess for CNN.”
Radar Online also reported the relationship started when both parties were still married:
Ryan Saavedra ~ “The alleged affair is said to have begun while the pair was both married: Zucker to wife Caryn and Gollust to husband Billy.”

David Martosko ~ Among the weirdest things I've read about the Zucker scandal is that Gollust and her husband moved into the apartment above Zucker and his wife. Same building, one floor apart. On purpose, while everyone was still married.
So, what’s next? There has to be more and we are so here for it:
Jon Nicosia ~ Much more. He didn't resign over a known relationship. Cuomo has receipts.
Steve Krakauer ~ Everyone who needed to know about Zucker’s relationship with Gollust already knew. So the question is what JUST happened, and - perhaps most importantly - what else there is, that resigning immediately will keep from getting out.
Looks like Fredo has the goods on Zucker and decided to turn the screws. BWHA HA HA HA HA HA!!!
