This "Peacock" has an enormous amount of material. I signed up for the Olympics and Superbowl, but the number of movies is staggering. Going through them alphabetically, I've reached #300 . . . and I'm only up to "Blues Brothers."

Very few are movies I know. Most seem to be B-grade flicks from the 80s and 90s, but that's not to say that they're bad. They're just old. Personally, I think the movies from back then are better than the ones being made today. (And flicks from the 50s and 60s are better than the ones from the 70s and 80s.) The only thing that's gotten better with time is the special effects... and I don't much care about those. I'll take a good plot any time.

So, $5 per month. $60 per year. If you like movies, it's a good deal.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

As much as it pains me, I've paid NBC/Peacock $5 for one month's access. That'll let me watch the Olympics 24/7 with considerably more coverage than I'd otherwise get. The Superbowl will also be available. I'm not sure what the advantage will be to watching the Superbowl on Peacock. Maybe I'll be able to watch it a second time if I want...

I've already told the Amazon Echo to remind me on March 3rd to cancel my subscription. Meanwhile, I'll probably be watching a whole lot of whatever Peacock has to offer.
