I don't know why it took me so long to think of this, but I've been manually looking up definitions for years, even being annoyed that browsers don't provide the ability automatically. Shouldn't we be able to double-click a word when we're browsing and see its definition?

So, OF COURSE extensions exist to do that. Duh! Sometimes I'm stoopid.

The link below is to an article that lists 7 dictionary extensions you can add to Chrome. Some of them work with Firefox too. I went with Instant Dictionary by GoodWordGuide. It downloaded and installed in seconds and works perfectly. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to work on their vocabulary or comprehension.
