This was the most blatant, condescending thing I've ever seen on Jeopardy, as there was NO WAY those categories were randomly chosen for that game.

...black history month. Being black is an accomplishment.

I watched today's episodes of the Jeopardy College Tournament. In the first round of the first game, one of the categories was "Aquarians." Partway through, I commented to my wife, "This category is all black!" And I believe it was, though I haven't been able to find an archive of the questions with which to verify it.

Then, in the second round, one of the categories was "Black Americans." I couldn't believe it.

One contestant ran both of these categories and was beating the other two contestants after that second black category by a score of about $10,000 to $2,000 to $3,000. She was, of course, black. And she was from the all-black Howard University. And she went on to finish THIRD as there were no other categories that she was very strong in.

I'm sure she is going to go on to greatness, maybe with a doctorate in Black Studies.

This was the most blatant, condescending thing I've ever seen on Jeopardy, as there was NO WAY those categories were randomly chosen for that game. It was cheating, pure and simple. If you add up the dollar value of those two categories, they amount to $9,000 (of the $10,000 the chick had when she was done with them.)

The cheating still didn't get the desired student into the next round of the tournament. Black viewers will, no doubt, have tantrums, maybe throwing bricks through Jeopardy's studio windows before finding out tomorrow that those were actually dressing room windows for the hosts of 'The View.'
