It seems to be a fact that Putin DID put a lot more troops in a position from which they 'could' invade Ukraine.
And if the 'Western Powers' had conceded I think Putin might very well have invaded. Instead, I've been hearing that a number of NATO countries have been sending weapons and munitions to Ukraine. Meaning if Putin does invade it is going to be a lot more costly than it might have been.
It could have been that Putin was trying to 'just stop' NATO expansion . . . But given that Russia already invaded and stole Crimea, took a little bite out of a country named Georgia, and tried to seize the Donbas portion of Ukraine I would not put invading past them.
But I agree with you that biden's owners (and the demorats) would love nothing more than to be able to use the 'Ukraine' meme as a distraction from their own disastrous machinations.
