so, its kind of like going to the city and instead of putting quarters in the parking meter you are using lrger notes..

Did you guys ever have to get accustomed to the movemnt of being on water so that you did not become seasick?

Some people do and some do not.

I love the sights you get to see. Unfortunately at my age I am no longer able to do certain things. I have friends and family who have some 28 foot cruisers for the river and they have invited my wife and I to spend a day out on the water and go up river toward west virginia near Gallipolis, Ohio.

I simply cannot go out in water that is over my head AND where I cannot see where my feet are.

It is psychological or a phobia now but that is me.. I envy people who are not afflicted by an adventurous spirit as I had one when I was younger.

Hope you enjoy every second of it CTJ !!!! I am envious to a degree..

You could cruise around Florida in a 30 footer. As long as you have a refrigerator, stove, and a head. If you want to go to the Bahamas you’ll need something a bit larger. You’ll also need a water maker.
We have all the comforts of home on our boat. It’s like living in a small apartment. On a smaller boat it would be like camping out.
Bimini is only 40 miles from Florida. Where we are now,we’re about 200 miles from Florida. And the max we cruise at is 7-1/2 knots an hr.
Fly over and charter a boat for a week. Or fly over and rent a cottage.

It cost us a $100 or so a day to keep our boat in a marina,$40 a day on a mooring ball. And anchoring is free.
We’re getting a big discount where we are now. We’ll be here 14 days and we’ll get a $600 rebate.
