Re: “Glad it all worked out for you guys! What a hassle you went through..”
Thanks for the tip about the PVC pipe. I think that's exactly what I want.

The funny thing about all of yesterday's hassle is that there was more. I abbreviated the story in order to keep the post short. But other things happened too. And they all happened AFTER the day's work was essentially over. I'd already unloaded the tile at the barn. That's when everything went south.

Ah well. Some days are going to be like that. We get through them and then they're just funny stories to tell at parties or on message boards. Right?

On a different subject, I reviewed this post and saw the gold chart at the bottom. Gold is now $2,046 - which is JUST ABOUT gold's highest price of all time. I bet it has something to do with Joe's upcoming talk. It'll be in 20 minutes if he doesn't fall asleep first.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

De

suggestion.
Find yerself a plastic or PVC rectangular, or round piece of 4 inch dia. pipe with threads on the end. like you would find for a clean out line on yer sewer piping.

Shorted in to about a foot in length and get a screw on cap for the threaded end.

Find a convenient place and dig a hole deep enough with a post hole shovel to put that pipe with a house key inside of a zip lock backie inside the pipe, in the ground about a foot down from the top. Fill with anything you want and cover with a large rock or stone that is fairly inconspicuous.

Now you have what I do for times like these....

It works and the heat from the ground keeps it unfrozen..

Glad it all worked out for you guys! What a hassle you went through..
