Our kitchen counters should be going in today. If all goes well, I'll be posting photos tonight.

My biggest concern is that it snowed Saturday. I believe the builder has automated the process of plowing the driveway. Any time there's an inch or more, it gets plowed and sanded. I *hope* that's the case. I texted him this morning and he said it should be fine. But he won't be there today, and if the driveway isn't passable, I'm in big trouble. If it hasn't been plowed, I don't even know who to call.

Other than that, no worries. The company doing the install was already up there measuring the cabinets and sink. Everything *should* therefore be good to go.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Hi De.
I was napping. I am still regaining strength from that operation but making progress weekly. Miz micro no longer needs to do literally everything for me.
The appliances look great. It's an exciting time for you guys and I am excited and happy for you.
So your flooring weighs a couple tons?
Wow. It almost weighs as much as Stacey.

My projects will mostly be closely supervised by by me with a minimal participation rate. I am using this project as an excuse to get some cash to my grandson to help him with expenses and maybe a little tuition.

Your refridge is same capacity as mine. Mine is a traditional freezer on top and refridge on bottom style and is black as are all our appliances.

They match the over 42 feet of black granite countertop surfaces.

I think it will be a few months yet before I can walk without aid of a cane or walker. But we will see.
I have tried a couple times to go to a store and just slowly walk a little there and it did not last long. Surface under feet just too hard for my hip.

Don't forget my knee on same right side as this hip is bone on bone and already scheduled to be replaced next year so my entire right side for stability is poor at best. I just can't go thru another major joint replacement surgery yet this year and am not looking forward to this next year either.

But
You guys will be doing the neat stuff and preparing to enjoy the house you had built and your work your land

You both have endured and planned well and sacrificed to get to this point. Soon it will time to take a well deserved BOW and throw a party.

I think I will buy a Ridgid brand sliding compound miter saw due to lifetime warranty and saving a couple hundred dollars.

I am going back to my recliner and watching golf tournament. See ya later!
