Re: “If, as the earlier article stated, it's possible to grant an exception only for WashingtonExaminer and I can figure out how to do it I'll let you know.”
I give up. I can get to Firefox's screen for granting certificate exceptions. (Navigate to: Settings // Privacy & Security // View Certificates // Servers // Add Exception) But the option to 'Confirm Security Exception' is greyed out and I haven't been able to un-grey it.

Your best choice remains to wait this problem out. Someone will eventually fix it. Meanwhile, it appears to be an issue with all Firefox users (I've seen it reported elsewhere) and you can circumvent it by using a different browser.

Re: “I can get there via edge, but not firefox.”
First, I meant to say "Verisign" not "Veritas" in my previous message. I had a brain fade...

I suggest using a different browser until WashingtonExaminer or Firefox fixes the problem. I doubt that will be long since WashingtonExaminer will lose a lot of customers until the problem is fixed. But, you can supposedly bypass the security blocking as described below (but I haven't yet gotten it to work). A riskier solution that DOES work is described beneath Mozilla's article.

You'll be able to connect if you:

• Click on Settings
• Click on Privacy & Security
• Within the Security section, unclick Query OCSP responder servers to confirm the current validity of certificates

I don't recommend doing this though since it removes a chunk of the browser's security that verifies the legitimacy of the sites you're connecting to. If, as the earlier article stated, it's possible to grant an exception only for WashingtonExaminer and I can figure out how to do it I'll let you know.
