A good and fairly thoughtful argument until he takes this wild leap into "America's Vital Interest". America, like an out of control and rapidly degrading terminal addict, can't articulate, nor care, about its own "vital" interest.
This is a common logical fallacy, linguistically called a nominalization. Take a process or an infinitely complex system, give it a single name to trivialize it, and *pretend* it is a thing. Even worse, *pretend* it is a sentient being.
We are all upgraded in our thinking if we begin looking for generalizations and nominalizations. Nine times out of ten, if not 99 times in 100, that is where the deception and sloppy+dangerous "solution" is to be found. Politicians do this over and over and over and over again. We all do, to some extent, but only as individuals can we call out and address the problem.

It is not appeasement by other European nations that prompted this war. Instead, it was the deliberate actions by America and Western Europe to hoodwink Ukraine and antagonize Russia while simultaneously compromising and weakening themselves, particularly Germany. This hobbling of Germany and the West was accomplished by foolishly succumbing to the most successful ploy of the century-old international communist movement: fictitious climate change....
The invasion of Ukraine will not spawn World War III as China, the dominant member of the budding axis that includes Russia and Iran, will make certain it does not...
That outcome cannot be allowed to eventuate. Thus, the United States and Europe must unconditionally support Ukraine with advanced weaponry regardless of the ever-present government corruption in Ukraine...
