I do not believe the two examples are compatible.

I don;t know anyone that thinks either/ or about Ukraine or Putin. I do know people who see war crimes being committed against humanity which Putin is clearly orchestrating..

By itself that should horrify everyone that it is allowed to continue unabated with no conscience toward innocent civilians..

THAT is the thing I think Putin needs to be held accountable for as well as the reason those Russian forces need to be out of Ukraine.

I have no particular love for Ukraine and as long as Russia behaves in a civilized manner as a country I could care less what form of government they have.

I am not sure where Lara is getting this comparison from because I know that anyone who has any compassion for their fellow human beings and ordnary citizens fighting or opposing nobody being slaughtered mercilessly and horrifyingly should be opposed to whomever is performing these war crimes..

So this is kinda news to me that Lara thinks its an either or situation. I think its more of a people don't care about the political differences between those two countries but do not like seeing civilians and children and women being needlessly and intentionally slaughtered by Putin's orders...

That is what I see..

Lara Logan made a great point in an interview last week. She noted that the psychological weapons employed to control American thinking today are fascinating. With regard to Ukraine, we are being corralled into a box where we must either love Ukraine or it means we love Putin - and there is no in between.

It reminds me of a similar view often pushed that Americans must either be on board with Democrat positions . . . or be white supremacists. WE ARE BEING PLAYED, folks. It's occurring every day, in every way.
