Some critics pointed out that he downplayed Covid early on as a "hoax" only to privately liquidate his own stock holdings. Others pointed out how Mulvaney played a role in Trump's Ukraine scandal. And others pointed out how he wrongly said Trump would concede graciously. It will be worth watching how this hire goes over with staff inside CBS News. But the network is expected to continue hiring contributors as the political season heats up...
