GM everyone!

Well, its snowing here in greater cincinnati and southwestern Ohio this morning.

I had been giving this generator thingy some thought for a couple years now.

The real question becomes how much energy in terms og amps or watts would it require to run an electric producing generator such as we find on todays gasoline powered motors? Knowing that or developing one, one could possibly simply use the wattage, KVA, to power an onboard generator that would produce elctric to recharge the main battery and sustain the vehicle's range indefinitely.

Its a thing that ntrigues me when Hybrids first came out and I have spoken with some colleagues of mine that have automotive backgrounds who also thought the concept was interesting and could possibly be made to work.

Why not? We use electric generators to prived the electric for the gasoline engine cars to run and all we need to sustain charging a battery source is a generator to do the same thing to the main battery the electric car is running off of.

Just one of the ideas and things I find interesting and have actually had enough interest to talk to other engineers about. Like one who works at the Honda plant in Marysville.
Anyway, just my imagination and inquisitive nature.

That would be a power supply that does not need to be refreshed or refueled up again and again..

I guess the energy producers would be against that... lol!!!

I think we should start a GoFundMe page to develop a gas generator that will fit in the trunk of an electric car. Given a large enough gas tank, the car would have a range of 300-400 miles. Mr. Green

How to spend $60,000 to get a $25,000 car.
