Hey, guys, I think I deserve more up-votes for my thought provoking comment.

Least you thought there was insufficient data backing up the claim, I did some more research and came up with this scientific study:

http://online.ucpress.edu/collabra/article/7/1/28391/118945/Pets-and-Politics-Do-Liberals-and-Conservatives

Conclusion: "Based on a large sample, we found that greater conservatism predicts less liking for cats and a greater preference for dogs over cats. The fact that our results were consistent across explicit and implicit measures, and also after controlling for relevant demographic factors, means that this analysis provides the strongest and most direct evidence to date that political identity is a robust predictor of pet preferences."

So, don't say I never told you anything valuable! If we could just get rid of the cats, or have them properly treated (along with owners), we might be able to get aa handle on this social disease.

I have come to realize that men are not born to be free. Liberty is a need felt by a small class of people whom nature has endowed with nobler minds than the mass of men. -Napoleon
