I remember upgrading Access databases at work - from Access 2000 to 2003 . . . then again from 2003 to 2007. Seems like linked tables and certain macro operations were the biggest stumbling blocks. (And probably VBA code.)

In my last year of employment 'they' were upgrading to some 'online' version of Office and our existing databases were not running at all.

My XP machine has Office 2000 on it. It has about ten sample databases - but none look like a library type database.

Anyway, I got a little monster in the house who wants me to read 'Ten Hungry Monsters' to him.

Re: “I vaguely remember, De, that microsoft had (once upon a time) 'sample programs' one of which was similar to what you show in your posting. (But not nearly as many fields as you have.)”
That's correct. But years ago, the good folks at Microsoft removed those free templates and the on-line HELP for Access 2007. To save money, I think. It probably made the stock price double.

Or maybe it was because they're bitches.
