But what the Republicans really need, probably even more, is a definite majority win in the Senate. And, disappointingly, that is a not looking nearly as certain. The Senate allows blockage of nearly everything: not just laws but also Supreme Court Justices and other important appointments.
I know that the majority of the Senate Seats up for vote this year is already Republican, but it is discouraging to look at the Democratic seats and realize how few of them are currently appearing vulnerable. If Repubs could feel confident about keeping what they have in the Senate and taking even two-three of the Democratic seats, I would feel a lot more hopeful. So far it doesn't look that way.
