He's defintely gonna be hurting. I hope he would go to a rehab facility for a few weeks where they will actually take care of him and feed him accordingly. That would let Miz Ribit catch a break as he can stay there for 21 days at no cost on medicare plans. That is what I would do.

That entire surgery of his is cutting on TISSUES. Those don't take kindly to being sliced and diced.

Being the jarhead that he is, he won't voice it too much.

I wonder if he gave any thought to going to a nice rehab center. There a couple really nice ones near me and miz micro threatened to put me in one.

I have an insurance rider on my medicare advantage plan that alows me to stay longer than the 21 days if I need to and bridges a large gap in coverage in case that were ever necessary... Its a cheap rider to get but well worth it. It ends all arguments about whose paying for what..

Meanwhile, since the medical community did not consult us I will just fall back and keep him in my prayers.

He's going to be carting around a bladder catheter for a couple of days after he gets out, and then he'll have pain when he urinates (which will probably be often) for the next six weeks. From what I read, he's having a transurethral resection of the prostate, not the more serious prostatectomy. He should be fine by mid-June but hurtin'.

Say some prayers for Mz ribit too. Ribs won't be able to fulfill his marital obligations to her for two months. One could hardly blame her for running off with the milkman during that long period of recuperation.
