Jim Acosta says he helped explain to an Afghan refugee delivering groceries the complexities of an elevator.
Really.
The CNN anchor tweeted:
Jim Acosta (@Acosta) ~ Ran into an Afghan refugee in the elevator today. He was delivering groceries. Didn’t know which buttons to push so I helped. Must have been new. As he got off the elevator, he thanked me and said “I am Afghan.” I said good luck and welcome to America. He smiled. He’s on his way.
Ah, Jim ... you're such a narcissistic, attention-whoring ass-wipe.
Um, did this really happen?
Because people have questions. Like, he didn’t know how to use an elevator? Seriously?
The Dank Knight (@capeandcowell) ~ “Ran into a poor uneducated brown person too stupid to understand buttons so I became a hero and saved him. Please like me” - Jim
And how do we know he’s a refugee?
Chris (@chris_opfer) ~ A) How did you know he was a refugee or are you just making an assumption? B) You seriously tweeted about your own “graciousness” of pressing a button and saying welcome?
The story doesn’t add up:
Bonchie (@bonchieredstate) ~ If you are going to make up a story, don’t make the Afghan dude incapable of using an elevator.
And we’d really like to know how this guy can use a smartphone but not the elevator:
Jack Posobiec (@JackPosobiec) ~ Acosta wants you to think a guy who works via gig app and digital economy doesn't understand numbers and elevators.
On the other hand, if he really didn’t know how to use the elevator, that still makes him smarter than the suits at CNN who greenlit and funded CNN+:
Jude (@Judes_Law310) ~ Ran into a CNN employee today. He was delivering groceries. Didn't know the difference between an 🍎 and a 🍌 so I helped. Must have been new. As he got off the elevator, he thanked me and said, "I am Jim Acosta." I said, "who?"
