De ~ "But I think perpetuating the war does something else that more directly supports Democrat causes. Namely, it cuts off Russian petroleum from Europe, essentially leaving Europe without oil. This favors Green causes, does it not? And for $40 billion, the amount of change the expense will through comes at a very low price."

Not that the leaders of the American Democrat/Marxist Party care, but this potential "side benefit" ... as is the usual outcome of leftist policies ... could very well backfire on the Environmental Marxists - if Europe goes through a cold winter without sufficient fossil fuels and "green energy" can't deliver, it could easily cause Europeans to turn their collective backs on the greenies in favor of more reliable, old school energy sources.

Re: “Biden Wanted $33B More For Ukraine. Congress Quickly Raised it to $40B. Who Benefits?”
Trying to answer that may send us down a rabbit hole. One possibility is that for $40 billion, a war with Russia is perpetuated but not won. That does a number of things. It helps the U.S. Defense industry. That is usually expected from Republicans, not Democrats, but these days who knows? You'll remember that it also used to be a Republican thing to pass bills favoring large corporations. Democrats always opposed them. Nowadays, the largest corporations are virtually all in the Democrats' camp. Remember how clo used to rail against the corporations ? Oh, how she detested them. But not anymore. Now she keeps her fat mouth shut on the subject. It's one of the many ways she shows herself to be a hypocrite.

But I think perpetuating the war does something else that more directly supports Democrat causes. Namely, it cuts off Russian petroleum from Europe, essentially leaving Europe without oil. This favors Green causes, does it not? And at $40 billion, the amount of change the expense will enable comes at cheap.

That's my two cents. Anybody else want to chime in?
