Right you are!
Diesel/electric is the way to go. Just like a locomotive.

I have a question.

WHERE is ALL that ELECTRIC to CHARGE all these hundreds of millions of Electric battery operated cars going to come from? Please don't say windmills or solar panels..

I have already debunked the solar panel BS and tried to warn the neighbor before he had his whole roof covered with them and then, a year later had them all taken off.

I guess he found out the hard way.. I already did the mathematics on these sollar panels a few years ago, what they cost, what they actually produce on an average day, how many one would need for real world usage in one house,

and how many million dollars one would need to support themselves using these things that don't work well at all.

Tesla's or other EV's have no interest for me.

The BEST alternative is a HYBRID car that uses a combination of gasoline AND electric assist from an onboard battery that actually recharges from the Generator on the engine. Taht's what generators do: produce electric.. To run all the elctrical systems..

One does not require SOLAR to do that.. A spinning generator off an engine will work very well to supply alll the elctric one needs to power a car or recharge a battery.
Hybrid is my choice for common sense . YMMV
