The University of Florida has removed Karl Marx's name from a list of authors whose works were in the school's library. When asked why Marx was removed, the person responsible for the decision stated that it was in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Apparently the fact that Karl Marx was born in Germany, never stepped foot in Russia and died in London, nearly 35 years BEFORE the Communist revolution, meant nothing to this 'enlightened' individual. Besides, Communist rule ended in Russia in 1991, so tell us again, why was Marx's name somehow linked to the current Russian aggression in Ukraine?
