Agreed! Now, THIS looks more like the "make them pay" that I previously argued was lacking.
People who work for government need to PERSONALLY be forced to pay when they break the law and -- especially -- when they violate Constitutional law.
You violate Constitutional law because you THOUGHT or you DISAGREED? That shouldn't necessarily mean jail time, but it should necessitate permanent loss of any employment working for the government and forfeiture of any pension or other perquisite you were planning on.
That would be a fairly *simple* and VERY FAIR way to insure payback. Right now we have next to nothing to protect rule of law and adherence to the Constitution. And that means, too many people in government act either without consideration for consequences or actively trying to game the system.
If we ever get a freshstart in this country, that is something that needs to be put right into the Constitution. If you aren't a Constitutional expert you ought not to *pretend* you are a "public servant".
