I mailed my 'Vote-by-Mail' ballot, for the June 7th California Primary, yesterday afternoon (the mailman picked up our mail around 3:00pm). At 8:03am this morning I got text message, from the Orange County Registrar of Voters, notifying me that my ballot had been collected by the local Post Office and that it was in transit to their office. Then later today, at 1:57pm, I got a second text message from the Orange County Registrar of Voters, this time notifying me that they had received my ballot, that it had been verified and has been counted.
So in less than 24 hours, my ballot was picked-up from our mailbox in front of our house by the United States Postal Service, was delivered to our county's Registrar of Voters office, where it was determined that my ballot was valid and was subsequently scanned, assuring me that my primary choices have been recorded.
