But you can bequeath it! Think of the smiling face on the lucky child or grandchild!

More importantly, this would finally open up all the parked cars in the country to being part of a distributed power storage system! In other words, you park your car where it can get solar charged and, at night, or as needed by others, you sell some of your excess battery power.

The MAIN problem with renewable electric power is thus addressed! Finally we might well have a chance of a future where reasonable power is still available without fossil fuels (which will no longer be EROEI available).

That isn't currently sensible because the current generation of batteries starts degrading with every charge-discharge cycle. Remember I told you about the search for a "million mile battery"?? This, at 100 years, is WAY more than that! Variable power generation w/ no good method of storage, is the biggest impediment to an all electric future.

They pull this off and EVERYTHING changes. It would rank up there with practical fusion as a dream come true. Musk would likely go down in history as the most beneficent human to have ever lived...who saved humanity from a very dark future. It is a brilliant target and vastly more likely to pan out than something like fusion (too late and too expensive).

Re: “Wow! Can you believe it?”
And our own lifetimes are, what? Eighty years? I don't think I'm going to get too excited about a battery that lasts any longer than I will.
