...it wasn't the 19 cops who were the problem. It was whoever was in charge. In a situation like this ya can't have 19 people running around doing whatever they want.
...the in charge guy / gal (birthing or non birthing) probably made the best decision they / them could based on the information they / them had at the time. Then again, maybe he / she just didn't have the balls
...regardless, at least one person is going to be sacrificed and if I was the decision maker on site I would grab whatever I could of my pension and move out of town. Perhaps out of the state.
...alright, a question for you folkses. When did all this mass shooting stuff start? Think Charles Whitman, University of Texas in Austin. Aug 1 1966
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Texas_tower_shooting
It was determined later in the Autopsy than Whitman had a brain tumor. Cops have been preparing for the "NEXT" incident ever since.
Whitman got a lot of attention. His 15 minutes of fame if you will. I think many of the other shooters were just following in that mindset. Especially the young teen bunch of shooters. Angry and striking out against everyone. Usually wind up killing themselves.
...I been reading how many mass shootings we have had here in the US and I don't believe the numbers. I don't call every incident in which a dope guy shoots another dope guy on or near a campus qualifies as a mass shooting.
...anyway, that's my two cents worth. I will expound on my bullshit more later.
