Hi Fiz!
YES. Please understand that I am NOT opposed to eletric cars in the free market place.. They are not for everyone but if ya want one and it works for you, hey, its your choice !
I simply am opposed to a federal government trying to shove something like this down our throats when I already have two mint condition vehicles that are well taken care of and have very few miles on those engines and in the case of my compact SUV, five years old now, it has about 18,000 miles on it and 17,000 were on it when I bought it used..
I have NO DEBT and wantto keep it that way.. I really think a traditional HYBRID vehicle is a great way to go for some people as it is an electric assisted vehicle that also uses an internal combustion engine.. The battery is recharged while driving.. It also uses less gasoline..
IF I ever were to be in the market again for another vehicle it would a worthy choice for MY situation.
The GRID cannot sustain all electric vehicles being charged.
We need to address electric distribution and generation first but democrats always get the cart in front of the horse.. Nuclear power generation plants could solve a whole lot of grid problems and supply cheaply and be a huge help with these issues..
Anyway, this is where my mindset is at and as a mechanical and manufacturing engineer I would love to see a self charging electrical sysyem while driving as it makes more sense.. Its only my preference but that is what I was thinking about..
