I sincerely hope not, but there is also the possibility of suicide. "Social causes" are no substitute for God, and I wonder sometimes if Democrats seem more senseless and despondent because they eventually discover their humanistic causes can't feed their souls. Of course, 17 years of age would be awfully early to make such a discovery and reach the dreadful conclusion that the "proper" response would be to terminate one's life.
